Cost of Ketamine and Other Services
Insurance & Patient Financing Options

Ketamine is approved by the FDA as an anesthetic agent and has been used for well over 60 years safely and effectively in the very young and the very old, as well as in veterinary medicine.

Sadly, ketamine treatments are not approved by the FDA for the treatment of mental health or chronic pain conditions.  Over the last 15+ years, ketamine has been used in an "off-label" manner to successfully treat many mental health and chronic pain disorders.  However, because it is not approved by the FDA for this secondary or "off label" use, almost all insurance companies will not pay for any serves that include ketamine therapies.

Wyoming Wellness Center works with many insurance companies for some of the services we offer. The services we are ABLE to bill insurance for include the following, as long as no ketamine treatment is included in the appointment:

            Ø  In-Person Consultations for Services

            Ø  Telehealth Consultations for Services

Ø  In-Person & Telehealth Follow-up Appointments for LDN and Chronic Pain Management

Ø  Online Digital (Texting/Messaging Communications) Evaluation and Management Services

The following services CANNOT be billed to insurance. Patients will have to pay for these services:

Ø  ANY Ketamine Treatments (IV/IM/SL) for Mental Health Conditions

Ø  ANY Ketamine Treatments (IV/IM/SL) for Chronic Pain Conditions

Ø  Compounded Ketamine Medications (Compounding Pharmacies)

HSA & FSA Healthcare Spending Accounts

We have researched the option of spending your HSA and FSA healthcare accounts to pay for Ketamine therapies. It appears from our research that those funds can be used to cover this medical treatment!

If you choose to use your HSA or FSA funds, they may request some information from you, like a detailed explanation of the therapy you received and a form filled out by WWC and your healthcare provider stating the necessity of this treatment. We will help you acquire these forms and provide you with a detailed explanation of your treatment, if that request is made of you. We are here to help you in any way possible!

Below are several other further Financial options that patients can utilize to cover the ketamine portion of their therapy.
